Frutigen - Ski Resort in Swiss Alps (1250m to 2340m)

One of Europe's newest ski areas, linked by cable car in 1986, although first skied by British ski pioneer Sir Arnold Lunn 90 years ago. Frutigen is a small town with a population of 6350 and 10 hotels and guest houses, facilities include an indoor pool complex.

The Swiss ski resort of Frutigen has direct access to 14 individual pistes, served by 8 ski lifts.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- Frutigen is able to augment natural snow, on 10km of ski runs, with 20 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 8 Ski Lifts of Frutigen are able to uplift 4,800 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are five Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Frutigen are perfectly feasible. Berne Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
