Podbanské, Slovakia (830m to 939m)
Podbanske is a centuries old mining settlement which now has a small ski area comprising four button tow lifts, between 200 and 520m long, which run up the 100m of vertical parallel to one another. The lifts are all relsatively new, having been built since 1995. A cafe, along with ski rental and ski school are located at the base of the slopes and there are two hotels within walking distance, the Krivan 100m away, which offers free car parking, and the Permon 400m away. Other activities in the area include sledging and sleigh rides.
