One of Germany's biggest and best known resorts, as well as its most southerly. Oberstdorf is popular with families year round. There are a wide range of sporting (and not sporting) alternatives to skiing. There are ski areas dotted all round the village. Ski jumping world-cup events are staged here annually. In 2005, the Nordic Ski World Championships took place in the resort for the second time since 1987.

The German ski resort of Nebelhorn has direct access to 38 individual pistes, served by 28 ski lifts.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- Nebelhorn is able to augment natural snow, on 2km of ski runs, with 10 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 28 Ski Lifts of Nebelhorn are able to uplift 29,200 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are two airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Nebelhorn are perfectly feasible. Memmingen Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
