The Galsterberg ski area above Pruggern, on the Ski Amade pass, has expanded a good deal in recent years, adding a third more terrain since 2003-4. Other recent additions include a permanent race course, night skiing piste and a kinderland ski fun and learning area for children.

The Austrian ski resort of Pruggern has direct access to 10km of downhill skiing, with 6 individual pistes, served by 6 ski lifts.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- Pruggern is able to augment natural snow, on 4km of ski runs, with 5 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 6 Ski Lifts of Pruggern are able to uplift 4,200 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are four airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Pruggern are perfectly feasible.
