Our friends have just returned from a week in Rhodes. Apparently they had great weather and all was good. The advice is to take plenty of cash of the folding kind, rather than rely on cards.

I have recently returned from a few weeks in a quiet part of Majorca. Our hotel was mostly German and it was a joy. Polite, well mannered people who know how to behave in a civilized manner.
Granted, we had to pay a little more for the privilege, but if it costs a few hundred pounds to avoid loud, opinionated, ignorant, tattooed Brit morons and their feral children, then count me in!!!

I must be approaching your age soon, as thats kind of how I want to spend a holiday too.
I dont mind a few Brits about, but kids/ferrals/tattoos.......no thanks.
