Tony_H wrote:New sallos turned up today from the US. Absolutely mint they are, top drawer, great quality...............excpet they sent the wrong size
I ordered medium and they sent large, and when I emailed them, they said they are out of stock of medium now

So they are going back to the US free of charge, and they are sending me an alternative more expensive pair by the same manufacturer with a £50 dollar refund

Gotta love the US stores for trying to make the customer happy. There are times when it would be nice to have a sale of goods act, but generally it's not needed because the customer service is so good.

They are sending me a pre paid label to return to them, and sending out a replacement pair in my size, with the $50 dollar refund, which is only fair I guess under the circumstances. As they are sending out a replacement pair at their cost, I have no problem with having paid for one delivery at $30.

Rose, I already have red sallos, I dont need another pair. These ones are black.

Bought new skis this week.

Finally decided on Head Worldcup i slalom with FF14 bindings. Just what I was looking for and a genuine bargain @ £299 with a bag included.

This thread needs pictures to be a decent kit fest. Here is a photo of my latest purchase :D

I’ve already spent a fortune this summer as I’ve invested in my first pair of boots and skis. The problem is, they’re propped up in the living room and every time I walk past them they keep shouting “use me!!” The idea of summer skiing is looking all too tempting. Still, only another 4 months to go. )
I still need a bag to put them in, a new jacket (as the zip is broken on my old one) and probably another set of thermals. Oh, and a new woolly hat that doesn’t flop over my eyes… I can sympathise with skigirl who has just bought a horse though - mine eats me out of house and home!!! Why did I have to choose two such expensive pastimes?

An hour or two a snowdome would give you some peace and quiet, and let you test out your new kit in a fairly mundane environment :D

Are there any other girlies out there who pack 14 pairs of knickers for a 7 night holiday? Why 14? (plus one or two spares). My male friends always ask me this question. L.

Surely three are enough. After three days, turn them inside out?
Oops, I forgot, you are going with friends. Take two pairs, turn them inside out, and then swap them?
