What colours are in this season?

I would love to see a return of more flambouyant colours on the slopes - recent ski gear fashion has been drab and boring :evil:. Aside from the asthetic value, or lack thereof, the more garish colours have a very practical use in helping to distinguish people on the slopes :lol:. Wasn't it much better when you looked up or down the slopes and were able to pick out your group because of the distinctive mix of colours :wink:? Wasn't it more fun in apres ski when you needed to keep your sunglasses on to deal with the riot of colour :lol:?

So........ I will be wearing my bright yellow, blue and black Fila jacket purchased at the end of the season about 12 years ago and still in great condition - it was actually the Italian team colours for that year :mrgreen:

You make a good point about on-slope recognition there Wanderer.

However, its something I'll leave to the others...

Good point. I have a friend who wears a horrible yet easily recognisable bright orange jacket.

I know what not to wear. A lovely jacket with a fur trimmed hood......dont ask.....wore it during a snow storm by the time I had finished for the day, the hood had completely filled with snow, it felt like I was carrying a 20KG back pack. Also then Hubby puts my hood up for me............very cold :lol:

Actually when I think about it my ski-wear is an extension of the clothes I normally wear at home. I usually wear all the surf makes tees, jeans,jackets, jumpers etc, and my ski-wear is generally those makes, styles and colours.

Maybe get some colour next time. This year is black and grey.
