Heading there this winter.
Was wondering anyone have inside info on it?
Is it easy to get around?
Does the "happ ski card" cover trains/buses?
Any other info?

Thanks!!!!

There is a good ski train service that stops at the Hausberg and then goes on with travel through the mountain to the top of the Zugspitze, great skiing, nice people, easonable costs.

The ski pass covers the train and if you are staying in a hotel you get a pass for free bus travel.

Nice restaurants skiing for all abilities not overrun and, thank god, not a target resort for the heavy drinking ski fraternity.

Pleasant enough town (definitely not a village!) and some of the skiing is excellent, but the lifts are old and not terribly well connected in some sectors. A fair bit of poling and one or two rope tows!

Would you need a car?

True what Lota said, you don't really need a car. There is s aproblem moving between lifts at times, the new Kandahar lift is good though

One final point for Garmisch, you can take a course in Biathlon shooting, and skiing
