Tschagguns offers a charming mountain experience nestled in the Vorarlberg region. With diverse pistes and stunning scenery, it's a hidden gem for skiers and snowboarders alike.

The ski resort of Tschagguns combines traditional Austrian charm with modern ski amenities. It features well-groomed slopes, picturesque views, and a friendly atmosphere perfect for families and adventurers.

The ski area of Tschagguns is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 700m 2,297ft , with 21km 13 miles of marked runs.

Tschagguns is part of the Silvretta Montafon ski area with access to 141km 88 miles of downhill skiing, with 44 marked pistes, served by a total of 59 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Tschagguns itself ( 21km 13 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Silvretta Montafon ski resorts of Gargellen, Gaschurn, Schruns, Silbertal and St Gallenkirch.

With ski lifts as high as 2,080m 6,824ft , snow cover is generally reliable.

Skiing

Tschagguns is part of the Montafon ski area, boasting 140 kilometers of slopes and elevations reaching up to 2,430 meters. Notable pistes include the challenging 'Schwarze Wand' and the family-friendly 'Matti', serviced by efficient lifts such as the Gruebnerbahn and the Zamangbahn.

Tschagguns offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Tschagguns is St. Gallen-Altenrhein, 48 minutes drive away.

Friedrichshafen, Memmingen, Innsbruck Airport, Zurich, Munich, Stuttgart, Basel, Lugano and Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg airports are all within three hours drive.

St. Gallen-Altenrhein is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Traveling to Tschagguns is straightforward via the A14 motorway, with the closest major airport being Innsbruck, approximately 110 km away. The region is also accessible by train to Schruns, followed by a short bus ride.

The nine ski lifts are able to uplift 12,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 13km 8 miles of ski runs, with 26 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Tschagguns open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

Aprés Ski

After a day on the slopes, Tschagguns comes alive with après-ski options like the cozy 'Bar Zamang' and the lively 'Montafon Stüble'. Guests can indulge in local cuisine at restaurants such as 'Pizzeria Da Vinci'.
