Ehrwald is part of the Zugspitz Arena ski area with access to 30 marked pistes, served by a total of 47 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Ehrwald itself ( 46km 29 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zugspitz Arena ski resorts of Berwang and Lermoos.

With ski lifts as high as 2,965m 9,728ft , skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Skiing

Ehrwald is dominated by the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak, reaching 2,962 meters. The resort features several ski areas, including the Ehrwalder Alm, which offers a variety of pistes such as the popular 'Schneekristall' run, and efficient lifts like the Ehrwalder Almbahn and the Zugspitzbahn.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Ehrwald is Innsbruck Airport, 60 minutes drive away.

Memmingen, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Munich, Friedrichshafen, Bolzano, Salzburg and Stuttgart airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

To reach Ehrwald, the nearest major airports are Innsbruck and Munich. From Innsbruck, it's about a 1-hour drive, while Munich is approximately 1.5 hours away by car.

Snow-making is available, on 20km 12 miles of ski runs, with 113 snow cannons.

When is Ehrwald open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.
