Nestled in the scenic Simmental Valley, Zweisimmen is part of the impressive Ski Region Gstaad. The resort features well-groomed pistes and a friendly atmosphere, making it perfect for a relaxing ski getaway.

The ski area of Zweisimmen is in the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 950m 3,117ft , with 25km 16 miles of marked runs.

Zweisimmen is part of the Gstaad Mountain Rides ski area with access to 250km 155 miles of downhill skiing, with 144 marked pistes, served by a total of 57 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Zweisimmen itself ( 25km 16 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Gstaad Mountain Rides ski resorts of Château d'Oex, Gstaad, Saanen, Saanenmöser and Schönried.

Skiing

Zweisimmen is situated at an elevation of 1,200 meters, with access to over 30 kilometers of varied ski terrain. Notable lifts include the Rinderberg and Zweisimmen gondolas, leading to scenic pistes like the Rinderberg descent, suitable for skiers of all abilities.

Zweisimmen offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Zweisimmen is Berne, 60 minutes drive away.

Basel, Geneva, Sion, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Zurich, Annecy and Chambery airports are all within three hours drive.

Berne is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Zweisimmen is easily accessible by train from major Swiss cities, with direct connections from Bern and Geneva. The nearest large airport is Bern Airport, located approximately 60 km away, making travel convenient.

The six ski lifts are able to uplift 11,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 36km 22 miles of ski runs, with 55 snow cannons.

When is Zweisimmen open?

 Opened (since December 20, 2025).

 Closes : April 5, 2026.

Usual opening is mid December, and usual closing is Late March.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.
