Is there usually snow in ADH in mid-April? We are thinking of staying in Vaujany.
Is it easy enough to get to the snowline from there?
Thanks for your help!

No risk, high, snowsure resort. Massive great cable car from Vaujany into the heart of the ski area.

I'd say you will be ok as most of the skiing is high up. Vaujany is a fair trek from some parts, but the cable car in is massive and fast.
As good as anywhere that time of year.

You will probably be reasonably ok though I would be surprised if you were able to ski all the way back to Vaujany. Also, ADH markets itself as the Isle de Soleil or island of sun. Much of the terrain is in full sunshine and lots of it throughout the year - I think they claim 300 days of sunshine each year. Accordingly, I would suspect that you could experience a lot of freeze/thaw conditions at that time of year, giving a fair bit of ice and/or slushy conditions lower down.

Having said that, it is probably as good as anywhere at that time.
