Gerlos - Zillertal in April? Will I be skiing on grass?

Just that, really. Can't get away till April as I can't get holiday before then - so am looking at the 5th to the 12th April.

Has anyone been to that region around then, and how bad was it?

The hotel I spoke to said all would be fine - but they would say that, wouldn't they? We'd be staying in Gerlos with children using the village lift to learn. Would there be enough cover, based on past years' average?

Any info greatly appreciated...
