Top post Rose 8)
I was lucky enough to coach a teenage lad who only had one leg ... You should have seen the faces of the racers he beat in head to head races ... The respect I had for his attitude was unlimited :D Jan |

Well on Sunday our gondola shut for the summer and won't be opening until "The Snow God" makes his famous reappearance :)
In the meantime, here’s a view from our last day on which I'll let Dave Mac give you the lowdown ;) ... Over to you Dave 8)
I bet lots of you know this view in “White” … Jan |

Yep, just before Kufstein there is a motorway service station :

As far as driving in Austria, in my experience, hire cars from Munich (yes I know it’s in German) or Saltzburg do not come with Vignettes as standard. You might be lucky and pick up a car that still has one that’s valid from the last user but the rental operators don’t provide them. That said a 10day vignette is about €7.60 at the mo, so hardly a big cost. Getting them on the motorway is easy and clearly signposted.
Don’t take the risk of driving without one though as a chat with the police can spoil a great holiday  Probably goes entirely without saying but if you don’t use the motorways you don’t need a Vignette ;) Jan |

I can't vouch for any of these but it might give you a starting point:
