You'll be saved your blushes in January Ally. Doubt very much if any of the T bars will be running. |

Go for it Yarray.
 A few thoughts.... Any chance of a 3 month let on your house in UK? Two ways to live in the mountains. 1 - Get a formal job, prob with a tour operator. Whatever your skills are. Advantages. All found, accomodation, food, lift pass, insurance etc. Downside - got to work every day so limited skiing. half days and prob a day off per week. But - more secure. 2 - DIY. Choose a resort. Find cheep accomodation for season, sort out season pass, insurance etc. Pick up odd jobs, part time, high season work as you go along. Advantages - far more flexible skiing time. Downers - no security, got to find your own ski buddies etc. Suppose it depends on you. Can you fund yourself up front for most of it and then pick up cash for beers etc as you go along? Let us know how you go. |

Last year I looked at Skimium, Intersport and Skiset in Serre Chevalier - just skis, best quality.
Skimium were the most expensive, nothing between Intersport and Skiset. Chose Skiset coz leaving skis and boots by lift was free with them. Do think that every resort and even shop is a bit different and then it all gets complicated with various discounts and then there is what the tour operator can offer ..... AEOD - I just go with who can give me what I want and is convenient to accomodation. |
