Sounds good, if you had a few pairs of skis with the Vist Speedlock system Dave you could have various pairs of skis with one set of bindings, swapping them over only takes a couple of minutes ;)

Pablo! I first skiied on Cairngorm before you were born! Karl Fuchs was the head honcho! What do you want to know?

Actually, while all of the above is true, it is just about that long ago since I skiied on Cairngorm, it may have changed!
There was a story that Karl lined up al his instructors, and said "Follow me". Then he schussed the White Lady!

That was meant to be a face like this:

I figured you may know your way around. I have never skied Cairngorms with the Coe being only an hour away and Nevis Range being an hour and a half!

I quoted this straight from snowheads, am I allowed to do that? Absolutely awesome...

Driving up the road was spectacular. Loch Morlich at Dawn

First train up and straight to the White Lady. Fresh tracks all the way. Only one set of tracks from the day before. Continued to lap this 5 times before another sole ventured down!

More fresh over towards the M1. Getting a little tracked out...

Time to head further afield. Skinned up the Marquis Well to the summit of Cairngorm and into the sun.

Fantastic views from the top across the plateau. Excellent snow cover for the time of year.

Down the west face of Caringorm and up towards Sneachda. Looking into Coire an-tSneachda.

Coire Raibert and Cairngorm from Sneachda summit.

Hmm... time for something a little steeper. Looking into Alladin's couloir.

First pitch after the split between Alladin's and Jacob's. Perfect snow, 2" fresh on a hard but grippy base.

Not too banked out yet, giving interesting skiing with a small ice pitch to negotiate.

Out into the appron. Fantastic snow.

A slog back to Coire Cas via the Fiacaill ridge and back onto the lifts.

Back onto the lifts for a few laps then another skin up to the summit for sunset.

Skiing down the Coire Cas headwall after sunset. Cracking way to end a great day.

I just hope the snow doesn't all melt now. The weather is not looking great this week too. :( Heres hoping we get many more days like this! :)

Shame I had to hand in on Friday (not digital submission), the skiing in Cairngorms looked epic :(

Well done, my man. You will soon be demob happy!
Yes Cairngorm seems to be shining. Much depends on the temp, there is certainly enough moisture! I want to do some Scottish skiing this year, mainly because my Euro skiing will not be enough.

St Andrews, eh, now that is not too far from chez Mac.

Glenshee just seemed to get rained on

If you are going skiing in Scotland I would be more than happy to show you around :-D

Yeh, got a couple of friends at Uni through there!
