With your extended pub crawl make sure you have money for your taxi from Val D'Isere to Les Brevieres as finishibg at the Folie Douce could easily be your undoing.

I thought the french side was best for france?
Something about the motorway carnet?

Mind you getting back to the french side of the airport for return was a bit of a fiddle as the route isn't well signposted if I remember.

The nearest I came was back in 1986 when some people I knew were going to drop of the Cime de Carron and get down to the road with a taxi back.

But I had work to look forward to and wouldn't have got back in time.
Of course now I wish I'd said "bugger work".
