Countdown continuing only 12 days and counting, I have been lazy since my return from LGb I was even thinking of letting the local ski shop service my skis but no I'm back the not so lean fighting machine. Got a couple of days off work so today after taking Little Wickham to school I'm into the garage repair a couple of scratches to Mrs W skis and then edge and wax, I'm getting in the mood, I've just booked the hire car on the rest of my air miles, so we are are starting to a rocking and a rollin. Adelboden here I come...... 8) 8) 8)

Love 70's rock fusion and Marmite. Stock controller at Hillary's Blinds (it's a shady business) so pretty mundane but very, very busy which is good. Also like real ales(the darker the better). Can't wait to get away to N in March :D

Amanda, you should have sold the car

Col you started off as a fun guy and then all of a sudden you went down hill

frostbite wrote:Cant recall where, but read somewhere that ATM machines arent readily available in lots of Austrian 'resorts'& that plastic is not widely taken; is this indeed the case or will I be okay with plastic ( ATM to withdraw cash or to use over the counter in bars etc)?
Am staying in Ellmau
Thanks in advance

I remember one of the first self drive trips we ever undertook, I read that credit cards were not widely excepted in many garages, a load of garbage we drove through France, Belgium,Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and finally Italy not one garage refused.

I'd love a dog but I'm not allowed as OH isn't an animal person and we are both out all day. My dream is to have a basset hound (called Shirley, or maybe two called Liquorice and Allsorts - don't ask!!) though I don't think it's going to happen any time soon. Also keep threatening to catnap my mum's moggy though don't think I'll get away with that one either )

We brought Little W a kitten at xmas time we now have one sad little pussy, as today was "N" day, not the other place but Neuter day....... poor little soul

10th-17th is £250.. hmmm

Any ideas? Will TO be cheap at that time?

How about popping over to Bogota and get us a couple of cheap ski jackets
