Tony,
Go and ask on 'snowheads.com', you will get a lot of response there. |

Val Cenis would be perfect............ longest green in Europe comes most way down the mountain. Some easy blues & as a plus, cheapest place I,ve ever been to in France ( anywhere ) Also, quiet pistes & no Q's |

Hi mick1583,
Just got back from skiwelt on Saturday......WOW, what a place !!!!!!!!!!!!! Didnt stay at Scheffau but were staying in Ellmau just up the valley. Skiing is great with loads of routes etc to choose from. There are more mountain huts than you can shake a stick at ( 70 odd if I remember correctly)...all ( the ones I went to at least) very good value & facilities are very good ( toilets etc). Tip; Plastic not so readily received as in uk so have cash just in case. Wont bother to advise on runs etc as there is tooooo much to cover; just expolore yourself, you'll love it. Have a good trip ( sure you will ) |

Karen72,
Do yourselves a favour; go to somewhere like Val Cenis or Folgarida in term time; you will get everything in for about 2k ( for 4 people), thats flying , 1/2 board, ski pass, lessons( if you want them). These are great places for budding learners & decent skiing for you ; also very good value & nice places as well. Actually I bet Val Cenis is quiet even in school hols but the prices arent cheap then! If the other 1/2 doesnt want cold holidays, then sort yourself out a ski buddy & leave them at home......their loss. |

Cant recall where, but read somewhere that ATM machines arent readily available in lots of Austrian 'resorts'& that plastic is not widely taken; is this indeed the case or will I be okay with plastic ( ATM to withdraw cash or to use over the counter in bars etc)?
Am staying in Ellmau Thanks in advance |
