happy days :D

Yes I,ve had a lovely day too, although my Son does'nt live that far away dont get to see him that often, he's always working and I'm always working and we never seem to have the same time off. But it was great and I solved his problem on a birthday present for his girlfriend.

Thankyou all for your very kind messages. We just got back an hour or so ago after a great week in Austria.

We stayed with Jan and his family at The Auhof in Neiderau and without who's help we would never have been able to get married in the way we wished.

The wedding was a complete surprise to everybody here in the UK, including family  and despite the quite large amount of paper work involved, we managed to pull it off and had a great day.

The only problem the whole week was our skis not turning up at the airport. However it turned out they never left Bristol and on our return they were there waiting for us. A new problem is the replacement skis we hired were quite nice so I reckon some new ones could be on the radar!

Despite looking out all week for Dave 'the hat' Mac we only managed to catch up with him briefly on his last night which was a shame. Maybe next time )

However, it appears some so called 'friends' have aquired access to our house while we were away and have decorated the place with bunting, confetti and balloons! All the cupboards have been booby trapped and there's tiny bits of paper from the notching machine at work all over the place. Blighters :D

Anyway, thanks again.

Keith and Kim (without the pink fluffy ears this time)

Ellistine, did you know you were getting married before you left UK or did you just do it on spur of the moment? Either way I think its fantastic

jastem wrote:RoseR - my sympathies. I have spent my day cooking a roast for son, daughter, their other halves, and my Mum! I am now putting my feet up on the sofa.

Ah but Son did redeem himself he bought me a beautiful silver Swarovski necklace with lots of dangly crystals. But its the reason he bought it that is so nice. He knows Hubby always buys me some every year in Austria but we did'nt go this year, so he knew I would'nt have had my bit of bling. I am so chuffed.

I spent all day yesterday cleaning, washing, ironing, Hubby spent all day doing the garden chores just so we can have time with my Son to-day, who we dont see that often. And that we can cook HIM a spectacular roast dinner. Should be other way round really. Although did manage to get to garden centre this morning to buy all my veg seeds and potatoes, and all the birds seeds and stuff.

Rose my ski veg seeds were in last Tuesday

My ski veg plot is not fully dug yet, not good enough for seeds although I can start the ski greenhouse going.

How cool do those ski's look, my colour too. Which reminds me, later on in the year I will be pestering every-one for advice on ski's. We are currently trying to decide which is best for us to rent and which is best for us to own. Currently we have our own boards and boots, but hire for ski and X country. Already made up our minds to buy helmets. Cant really afford to own boards/ski's/cross country. Plus the carriage for all 3 would be ridiculous. Plus dabbling with the idea of snow shoes as well.

On the upside my mums away doing something horse related so I have the house to myself. Went out for a meal at Cameron House yesterday (google it) and it was pretty good but overpriced.. like really over priced.

I wish my son would do the card bit, he is a nightmare. He might get one if he is coming to see me on my birthday/mothers day, but if he's not I dont think he knows about post box's and stamps. I miss all the ones he used to make me at school I still have them all.
