I could put to good use one of those fartbags right now. Going over to allotment and the wind is blowing a hooly. Have even put thermals on.

Tis true Tony, some places round here you could be mistaken for a ski resort as opposed to a beach resort the amount of market place north face jackets on show.

Lived for many years in a Village called Kippen, which was near the Lake of Menteith............hence the reason I went curling there

I dont live in Bournemouth either, 4 miles from it

I use them quite a bit too, but for me its always a fear of being taken the wrong way and some-one taking offence so I always use LOL to lighten the mood.     :!:
How did every-one start skiing?

Ours was a three day city break to Amsterdam when there was loads of snow and we discovered we were both snow lovers. So set about a winter holiday without the intention to ski at all. But when it came to booking found all inclusive with learn to ski/board. And that was it.........well and truly hooked.
Cold Knees

I generally buy snowboard sallo's as opposed to ski sallo's, even though I do both. Boarding pants seem to have more padding especially around the behind area. Which is where I get really cold. In fact last year my cheeks stayed cold for ages after I had got the rest of myself warm back in the cabin. I think I will invest in some mens boxers for next years hols, just to get that extra warmth.

Was it passed on by skiing parents/friends. Was it something you always wanted?
