I have now managed to locate the hotel wifi signal, bloody hell I have never seen so much snow in my life, it has not stopped since Sunday and looks like it will continue into Wednesday.
Did not ski Sunday as the plane was late so did not arrive in Adelboden till 15.30, Monday was a white out visibility was so bad I even took a tumble have not done that for a few years just could not see anything even with my all singing and dancing bolle gog's, we skied though till about 14.00 hrs and that was enough I could see nothing and it was starting to become a bit precarious.
Today Tuesday much of the same starting snowing heavier as the day went on, mix that with a blizzard at the top a fun afternoon it was not, but the powder has been fantastic there is a couple of runs we have found though the trees untouched by any human   absolutely heaven thats when you can see where you are going, still managed to ski till 16.00hrs, the poor old knees ache a tad now.
Hotel is great food first class, Adelboden is quite a sprawling Village/ Town a fair bit of walking needed but the biggest disappointment is the links between the sectors poor links with flat blues and baby drags to get you to the next run I have never done so much poling in my life I expected more of Adelboden you can imagine how grumpy I have been, the slopes are very easy the blacks are reds and well the reds are really easy.
The average age in the resort is 169 well thats what it seems full of olds walking with sticks but it leaves the slopes empty for us younger people  well better go Mrs W is waiting for a coffee, Bye. 8) 8)

RoseR wrote:AllyG thats appalling how the kids were treated, did you not get any support from tour reps? She would certainly have heard from me if she treated my lad like that. Also nowt wrong with wellies, would be lost without mine, even if they are pink/purple and blue.........now thats fashion

It was out of season, I like haggis but I have never eaten it as part of a Scottish breakfast, No Not Never
AllyG wrote:Ian, what's supposed to be wrong with that C&A top? It looks fine to me.

Pablo, it's very kind of you to say there was nothing wrong with my black salopettes, but you never actually saw them. I remember my instructor trying to pull the elastic inner bit over my ski boots, and it wouldn't reach, because they were meant for an 11 year old, and it was a tiny bit embarassing.

I was wearing wellies in Borovets because it was after I'd broken my shoulder on the dry ski slope, and I wasn't ski-ing. So, I followed my 9 year old daughter's beginners class around the slopes (which I know you're not supposed to do) because she had a horrid instructor who refused to help the children up when they fell, even when they were only 7 years old and crying, and I was a bit like their lifeboat - even though I only had one useful arm. On that long blue run that's probably a road, I had to pick up a kid on every bend, in my wellies, with one arm in a sling.

The rest of the Bulgarian ski instructors were great - one very kindly said 'very good walking', as he skied past me.

Ally

Ally, The picture you have witnessed is of a piece of classic ski top Memorabilia , which I have worn on all ski holidays since the early ninties, there are some people here who follow fashion, I Create it
