Ok it's 09.21 breakfast has been enjoyed at present we are listening to the noise of the guns sorting out the avalanche dangers it is still snowing and visibility is really poor so poor in fact we are not going to ski till lunch time.
I took about two feet of snow off the car yesterday and guess what is all back again, so we will go for a walk and do coffee and strudel till the weather clears, its a hard life. People in the hotel do not seem to get till late but i guess thats old people for you.
Some of the celebrities we have in the hotel are Old posh & beck's who always decant their wine or the waiter does, Al fayad the spitting image of who looks like he is on his last legs, and Benny Hill a slimmer version but a dead ringer so remember wicker's a friend of the stars.

Unfortunately the horses have gone on strike too much snow, so it looks like Mrs W is not going to get her sleigh ride, but don't worry the old wickham charm has come into use and I have made sure Mrs W has had a wonderful holiday and ski experience that she will never forget.
The best ski jackets?

I have owned had a Cross jacket which was also very good, and now use North Face, Dare2be, and Bailo. The D2B jacket was a steal and is a short cut outer shell, so its great in the warmer weather, as is the North Face one. I tend to find I prefer thinner outer layer (waterproof) jackets and to layer up underneath.

I noticed a lot of people this season seem to be thinking this way too, and a lot of skiers were wearing less insulated jackets, and there were far more climbing style jackets on show, such as Arc'Teryx and Haglofs - very nice gear indeed if you can afford it!

Lots of Kjus, Killy and Eider on show in Serre Che as well, which are also pricey but appear very nicely styled and well made.

I have a Nface wind stoper which I wore on sunday, far too hot I guess I have anough padding but i really don't buy in to the whole fashion thing, a complete money making exercise which many people fall into, over the years i have worn HH, Nf, Nevica, columbia and they have all been good not much to pick between them as long as they do the job keep me dry and warm it all comes down to a bargain
