Hello sweethearts yes we are back safe and sound in dull overcast Norwich, flight with BA was really great and on time, just got the washing to do now  a big disappointment for me was the lack of food I used to love those little microwaved meals the airlines used to serve up all we got with BA was a sandwich  Gotta go guys will post some pics tomorrow bye 8) 8)

I am shocked at being called a fair weather skier  the weather has not only been snow but there has been very low cloud and it comes to point where common sense prevails where you cannot see the edges of the piste,
there might not be huge drops to the side but enough to do you some damage. so I like to think that I'm not a fair weather skier but a sensible one.

Back onto today again another boring day of powder  , today it stopped snowing at about 10 am and shock horror the sun came out visibility fantastic, but still blowing hard at the top though, but we were greeted by beautiful powder and sunshine so we finished off a few untracked runs and then onto the off piste.
But again as previously stated the areas are linked by silly baby drags, busses, and very flat blues, this can be very frustrating as I really enjoying going some where when I ski from A to B and then onto C, but here you can ski from A to B but then get the bus to C a real pain.
It's true there are few Brits two other couples in the hotel but a good mix of nationalities service is excellent and the food first class five course dinner including a fondu tonight, I think a diet when I get home might be a good idea.
Now I must go and pack our boots and skis as tomorrow is bye bye time, I'm sad in one way but we have really missed Little W and it seems so strange without her still should get a great welcome back tomorrow. 8) 8)

Tony_H wrote:France is about the most expensive country in Europe to ski in. Maybe you should consider looking elsewhere. Italy has some nice places, and the exchanve rate makes Switzerland more appealling. Austria has the best standard of accommodation at the mid range of the market generally.

Hot off the press price list for Switzerland Beer 5 Sf, Spag bol 21 Sf, Pizza 22 Sf, coffee 4 Sf soup 6 Sf roll extra to calculate into sterling the exchange rate we got was 1.58 Sf to the pound. Work it out yourselves to ascertain if you still think it is cheap I would suggest Nil point .
