Glacier skiing November in Europe

Too right, that picture just screams "carving practice" :)
Well, what a wonderful city!! Didn't get much drawing done as I can't stop walking around looking at stuff. There is a very special feeling here, very hard to pin down however. Plenty of things to do, extremely laid back, no car required, I would certainly recommend for a weekend if there is cheap flights going.

Another couple of hours for a long lunch by the river, the 6 hours on the train!

Where is the righteous idignation smiley when you need it?!??
Wondering if anyone has any experience of the city? I spent so much time on Deutsche Bahn that I got a free first class return ticket anywhere. So I'm booked on the sleeper tomorrow night arriving 8am and not leaving till 5pm on Sunday.

Looking for touristy ideas, hotel recommendations, good bars, eating.

What I really wanna see is some Interesting architecture to sit down and draw if the weather is good, hence the choice of destination.

Anyone?.....,

Bueller?

I love spring and autumn riding, much quieter both on the piste and in the mountain huts, a more relaxing day all round. Saying that I am quite fond of winter too )

I was worried there, I thought they might have decided to piste some more of it. I cant wait to get back to Engelberg this season, allthough according the SBB its as long to get from Zermatt to Engelberg as it is from here in Germany

Current conditions 9/21 lifts running serving 20km piste.
Last year 50km piste open by early October. Always the risk of not getting on the Glacier if the weather closes in.

I've been on the Tux in some very interesting conditions, they don't seem to like closing it.
