I have flights booked but have been let down by my hotel. Need to make use of the cheap transfer bus from GVA to like houches, chamonix, morzine. Therefore need to find a new b and b for next friday, saturday and sunday night. ANy tips? thoughts?

Is the above any good? I am an average skier looking for a frenchish resort skiing with locals.

Transfers from GVA? Shared minibus or can I do it by public transport?

Morzine? Is that close by?

Need anew pair of skis. I am mainly a piste man but may go walkabout if I get lost off the beaten track.

I am an average skier at going at an easy tempo.

Went shopping yesterday and the above were mentioned for my level.

Any thoughts from you whizz kids out there?

I have a long weekend and looking at flying into GVA and going from there. Would like to avoid a hire car if possible.

So out to you, the easiest and cheapest place to go for three days with a mid afternoon deparrure on the last day to get back to GVA for the flight home that night!

We have seen a hotel in la Plagne but it is in the aime la plagne.

How do we get around at night from the bars/restaurants back to the hotel. Is it possible? Transfer bus? Walk? Lifts working at night?

If not any other resorts in la plagne which are near good restaurants/bars/clubs and walkable/staggerable home too.
