I bought a pair of boots from Tyrol Sports last year - an Intersport outlet, half way along the main street.
Very happy with the service. Some staff speak good English but the guy who was the most proficient/knowledgeable didn't. My needs were pretty simple as I have bog standard feet and don't need any tweaking of twiddling or anything plus I am pretty confident I know what I am looking for in fit. It was just a matter of trying different makes on in the right sort of flex/stiffness models and then deciding. I was offered return to the shop for fiddling if I needed it and they seemed to have the ability to do all sorts of customisation if needed. Spent nearly two hours with them eventually. Hope this is helpful. |

Well done for being so abstemious BB. |

Too many snow/ski/board/resort/helmets/flights/trains/etc related things to wibble about as Nelly says. Plus - I reckon that Icy, as wibbler in chief - is distracted from core activities atm. |

Thank goodness we don't all want to travel the same way!
Or all the planes and airports, roads or trains would be even busier than they are. And even worse - imagine if everyone wanted to go to a picture postcard Austrian Village or a high mountain French Moonscape or a chique Swiss resort....... The list is endless! Vive la difference !! |

I like the idea and results of formal artists being appointed to paint certain things.
Totally different to photos. |

My train journey to Tignes should take 18 hours door to door.
A flight on the Sunday about 12 hours. Similar for the return...... 12 hours "extra" travel for 2 days extra skiing! Worth the time and possible discomfort! |
