sounds like a plan to me, send me a PM with a budget and I'll talke a look into it. Obviously, sauna, swimming pool, bar and free taxi to ski lifts are imperative :) |

I have no wife to interfere with my snow habit. So that could be an option. My problem here is I don't need/want a package with flights and transfers etc, so may have to do independant accomodation and live on leftovers :( |

Well that's me out on 3 counts then :(
St Moritz for me instead, find myself a nice chick with a rich alpine property developing father. 70% red runs, 20% black, nice for boarding 8) |

now you are mixing 2 topics. If you belive that a drink on the mountain adds risk to the 3rd party then lets discuss that. I tend to agree on principle, which might shock a few :) however if an individual choses this risk aginst his or her own health, then who am I to stop them?? One of the reasons that sports like skiing or surfboarding or kayaking are increasingly popular is because it puts some risk back into what has increasingly become a safe and sterile life. |

It's a personal thing Bandit. My passion for riding is down to speed, If I can't learn how to do this safely I shouldn't do it. Protection would only give me a false sense of security and send me off on questionable goals. My nature is not suited to it, I think it would be dangerous.

I got a clear message that I was supposed to slow down and stop, which I did. I believe that putting ourselves in all kinds of protection actually places us closer to the danger we seek to avoid, I also think it gives us a greater sense of infallibilty. The caveat to this is beyond our control and that is other piste frequenters, this is a good reason for protection. I rode in Chile this year 3 weeks after breaking my collarbone and fracturing my skull on my bike, no helmet. In terms of protection on the slopes it was the best thing I ever did. |

nasty. A lid won't prevent a broken neck however. Did the same in Val d'isere, landen on my head a broke a rib....and my iPod ;) |

I was tiring very significantly this afternoon in Zermatt, the days activity had churned up big lumps of ice by 1pm, my back legs ability to provide decent suspension was shot, in fact I was riding so hard it was shaking uncontrollably after a run. Was tired but pushed myself to go again when I shouldn't. Was a wee bit touch and go, nearly lost my front edge at what I guess was close to 50kph. It is for this reason I will never wear a helmet.
