Should you wish to progress to gain your ski instructor higher level Anworter, you need to demonstrate capability at boarding as well as skiing.

The whole of the skiwelt must be buzzing tonight with that great 4th place in the Levi Ladies slalom by Chrisina Ager, from Söll. Great run by an 18 year old. She often trains on the Niederau race arena, and her coach, Günther Gerhard hails from Niederau.
This year, Christina and Günther have trained and raced in New Zealand and Chile. Ski racing is not for the faint hearted! |

Pavel uses leather gloves, and he sent me a pair to an address in Vail. Unfortunately, the address was not recognised by the mailing company, and the gloves went all the way to Colorado, and back to Pavel-land. It was a nice thought though.
I am pretty sure that Pavel treats his leather gloves with dubbin. The best pair of gloves I had were leather, branded Kneissl. They cost £20, some 40 years ago. They were lifted of the garden wall by an enterprising binman.... |

Good skiers and good boarders look good, bad ones look not so good. I have been wiped out by both.
We have a run in Niederau, under the gondela, that can get a bit tricky, especially near the trees. We found that boarders could get nearer the trees, and thus solidify the base, providing a benefit for skiers. On a lighter note, one of my ski songs is written about a really good young lady boarder. I have since skied with her, and she is also a great skier, that did not surprise me ~ I had worked with her dad in the ski school, and he was good in every department, from off piste to racing. Also mentioned in the song is a really fast New Zealand boarder that I hooked up with in the Three Valleys, and err, one certain ....Trencher. |

I paid a bit more for mine, 4 years back, and have never worn them. I use prescription sunnies all the time.
However, if you are a regular wearer of goggles, and you need a prescription, this seems like a good deal. |

They certainly did PSC. I am still miffed that you did not come and introduce yourself, by the way! It's my fault. I was just too shy to wander about asking ~ "Are you Paralytic?" |
