Fantastic! We had a decent snow fall on Sunday too, so with this new top-up April should be great.

If you come across a short downhill section, you can choose to leave the skins on. It feels weird ang grabby, with Fritschi's you can lock down the heel and off you go.

Thank you. So I was told last week and opted to take Pivots out of my TST's and put Freerides Pro on them. TST is a fairly light skis so should be good, I think.
what to wear spring skiing

I would say use normal "winter" gloves and light layers. If you have an insulated jacket rather than a shell, you should be good with one layer only. Even with a shell last week I had only a t-shirt. Having said that it's getting colder and cooler temps are likely to stay for a little while. So, check the forecast first. And carrying a backpack could be a good idea - gives you room to keep this extra layer in case you need/don't need one.

I don't understand this "ready to pay the price". If you can ski, you will get donwn mogul field without paying anything. However if technique is deficient moguls will expose it. Moguls, out of bounds and couloirs are steps in skills progression. You just take them to a different terraine similarly to increasing steepness of the slopes you can ski on-piste.

Would ski anything but always hated moguls, then one day had to ski through mogul field and they were big ones, no option, why I dont know but everything just clicked and loved it now go looking for moguls the bigger the better always trying to ski the whole mogul field without stopping

Everything just came together still cannot explain why either, but now mogul mad

Congratulations! There is a saying that there are no people who can't ski moguls but there are people who can't ski and moguls prove it:)

I like skiing with my own skis and even that when I started skiing I thought that skis I bought then would last me a lifetime my "collection" is growing. But if I had to fly to ski I would probably just rent. And not because of the costs - skiing IS expensive either way, but because of the associated inconveniences. One season that I decided to ski in different resorts was painful because of having to haul skis there and back every time. Last week I received a letter from resort offering to extend the use of the locker I rented for this season till November for 30 CHF only and I am certainly taking it. By November I'll have another annual pass and my ski (and boots) will be waiting for me by the lifts.

Looks like it might snow next week (though it will rain at the village level).
