Thanks everyone for all the replies. Boots are definitely going into checked in luggage - one in each case as I can't be bothered faffing about at the airport . If they lose any of my cases I will seriously have a tantrum at Salzburg Airport on Saturday . Ria x

I am very sorry to hear of Mrs D's illness. She must very very disappointed especially having had a holiday booked. I hope things work out and maybe she could be helped with calcium tablets which would help her bone density. Ria x

Hi Owen. To be fair to Mr Muggles he is quite supportive (so long as it does not involve him going anywhere snowy and cold), and I think he would quite like the idea of being abandoned on a golf course :!: Hows the boot hunting going? Ria x

Hi. Maybe you could just do the morning lessons. I had the option of all day lessons - 2 hours in the morning and same in the afternoon or just 2 hours in the morning. I chose just the morning as I like to practice what I have been taught in the afternoon so maybe that would be an option for you. Ria x

Great video Snapzzz I enjoyed watching it. My daughter was looking for a mini camcorder to take some skiing videos but we are bewildered by the choice and wonder if you could let me know what the make was of the one you used. Maybe pm me in case it is classed as advertising. I agree about the bobble hat by the way - class. Ria x

Thats interesting that some airlines won't check ski boots in as hand luggage. I could understand if it was ice skates because then you have a sharp blade but I would not consider ski boots to be dangerous (unless you clunk someone over the head with them) Ria x

Ha ha my husband will be known from here on in as Mr Muggles. No he won't be tempted back he really hates the cold and he is an addicted golfer (handicap of 7 so he plays a lot). I was trying to pluck up the courage to go on an organised group week in Morzine last year which included lessons but chickened out. Got something sorted this year though and off to Zell am See next Saturday with a non skiing friend so am really looking forward to it. Hope you get your boots sorted as I am sure there are some Welsh J2skiers who will help you out.
