Ski Boot shop in Wales?
Started by User in Ski Hardware, 16 Replies
Hi Owen - sorry I can't help about the ski boots as I live in Scotland but I know what you mean about coming back to skiing. I was quite a keen skier in my 20s but my husband hates cold and snow so just had beach holidays while the kids were young. Long story but managed to get him to go skiing two years ago (although he says never again.) Felt so happy inside to be back on snow and could not stop smiling. Managed to get a ski holiday again this year so looking forward to that. Sorry rambled on a bit there, hope you get your boots sorted. Ria x
6 sleeps - woohoo. Also it looks as if there is going to be a snowfall on Thursday and it is going to be much colder by next weekend so its looking good. Ria :Dx

Thanks Old Andy thats what I thought. I will do as you say and stuff the boots with socks etc.,and they will be surrounded by salopettes and clothes so hopefully they will be fine. Thanks again. Ria x
Ski boots - hand baggage or checked in

This is my first year taking my own ski boots and I can't decide on the best way pack them. Either one in each checked in suitcases, or carry both as hand luggage. We are flying Jet2 and have 22 kilos checked in baggage so weight is not an issue (I think). What do you all do :?: Ria x
10 sleeps - nearly there

I had a problem with boots being very neat as well but I tried on various makes and ended up with Salomon boots which seemed to be the best fit for me.

Tube socks

Sm4sh I have skiied in tube socks before and I was okay with them. As EmmaEvs said sometimes the seam at the toe can be really bulky and if it is I turn the sock inside out. If you decide you like skiing then next year then you can invest in proper ski socks. Hope you enjoy your ski holiday as you have waited a long time for it and I can't wait to hear how you get on. :D
