Have priced some fights on easyjet frmo newcastle to geneva. £270 for flights for 4 of us. is it ok going from this airport? This is the nearest easyjet flies to unless I am willing to travel to london or birmingham which is just not good. Have been looking at sites for airport transfers and it isgoing to cost over £600 return! I think we will hire a car. about £300 even if we just use it there and back and not in between we will save half the money.

Just looking on holiday rentals now for an apartment and i will nearly have it sussed. well at least until next week lol. I am still a bit uneasy about France just because I have never been there before. YOu have to try somethings once though.

Just got to convince hubby to get the plastic card out that he keeps glued in his wallet lol!

ha good luck with that!
make sure and try the solutions room (google it)-its where we got our holiday from and was excellent
also, a lot of the chalets on there will offer you transfers from chambery

I went to La Plagne for the first time in April there and really enjoyed it-we stayed in Plagne 1800 which was mainly catered chalets but had a nice winding road going down through the village-a Spar half way down a great couple of bars right outside the beginers kiddies slopes-la mine and another one-cant remeber the name!
Aime la Plagne has loads of self catered appartments but is rather an eyesore and I agree you would be better up in Belle Plagne-loads of new chalets appartments JUST been built there but not sure about supermarkets etc-must be one somewhere though!
Runs-wise sounds like you will be very happy, all very medium difficulty cruisy blues with lots of width but one or 2 challenging ones and some hidden gems!-see my other thread for photos and other banter
(wouldnt go to Sainte Foy-friends parents have a chalet there and its pretty tough i hear-great off piste though)
Youll have a great time in La Plagne!

yeah our chalet picked us up from airport in the minibus-15year old, plenty of "character" with a dodgy boot lid but it was all part of the experience!

what ski have you got that is short but the fastest?
surely you must be skiing on the mission for it to have a short turn radius?

Pablo Escobar wrote:Those skis are a bunch older than mine +++ they had a lot of issues, all of which were fixed for mine. Plus the 07/08 is the best top sheet by far. You might be 194cm tall but a ski definitely doesn't know how tall you are, they definitely know how heavy you are!

17stones says longer is better surely? plus they would be quicker no?
