We have been skiing in Schladming/Rohrmmoos since 1968 and love it!. SchiSchule HOPl, in Rohrmoos at Schi Lenz and on the Planai mountain is a fantastic ski school who have been brilliant teaching our 12 year old to ski. The facilities are excellent with new lifts and slopes added practically every year. The locals are very friendly and immensely proud of their town and village. Rohrmoos has many hotels and guest houses and Schladming is busier with lots of night life and good shops and restaurants. The mountain restaurants are great with hardly a self-service in sight. Rohrmoos also has one of the longest toboggan runs in Austria. Not cheap, but hen you have to pay for all the investment they have made over the years.
