on my first skiing holiday I watched our instructor light a cigarette on every lift at every opportunity and throw the butt onto the ground below.
And he was a local
Tignes - any comments?

'cha

I don't know about the chalet itself but for location you couldn't get better, a stone's throw from the Aeroski (it used to be an Esprit or Mark Warner chalet if I recall?). From our experience of Tignes the gradings didn't cause any concern. You'll have no problems.

I do agree with Bandit on the Val D'Isere side though, the "ski tranquille" area which links the two resorts is anything but tranquil so I'd hurry through it if I were you. Apart from the gradings, it's the busiest part of the espace killy - where the two resorts meet.

As johah said, go down to Val D in the gondola, the most competent skiers in our group had an unpleasant experience skiing down. Get yourself up to the area above the Solaise Express, the best ski area for me personally and the best snow. And, obviously, you've got to pay a visit to La Folie Deuce on the way back to Tignes [take plenty of money though ].

I really hope she did, she was lovely :D

That might have been me...and I didn't!

believe me snowb4ndit, she was at least twice your size
