Mine will be a last minute decision I think.
I've got a mad month ahead of me. if I make it through in one piece I'll think about it then.
Anyone booked for next season yet?

Anything in particular I should warn them about

I'll make a note of those too I think. My eldest is sick on the bus nearly every skiing trip, there and back. But, seeing as I've held his hand every time up until now, I think it's time to let the other half have a go

I'll look forward to a full report Lynn. Maybe you'd better pre-warn them about us
on the plus side, you couldn't have done it at a better time. what more excuse do you need to chill out on holiday 8)
wishing you a speedy recovery Rose

thanks for all comments.

my aspirations are completely different post accident. My ambition used to be to ski down the black Combe de Caron in Val Thorens. that's been scrubbed and I'm now taking it one step at a time starting with revisiting Obergurgl to boost my confidence and then, after Arabba, getting back onto Tennladen in 2011 and nailing that mother!

Beyond that... it'll fall into place at some point but, with my fear of heights getting worse and with confidence not what it used to be, I'm not aiming much higher (no pun intended) :D

which is exactly what I did, believe me

and greens that are bordering on red

I always thought and I can't remember where I got that thought from that reds were graded slightly harder in Austria, now before all you Anglo Austrians start getting hot under the collar, it is only a question. 8) 8)

without prejudice

okay, against my better judgement I'm going to take your bait Mr Wickham, justifiable given that you burst my bubble.

I'm not in a position to clarify as this is the only red I've skied in Austria, however, I've asked the better half and he has confirmed that it is by no means "tame", the top part of the last section (about the 2:20 mark) is, he says, bl**dy steep. Just to confirm, he has skied twice in Austria and four times in France (greens, blues, reds and blacks). Also, (covering all my bases here) I don't have a favourite country, I look for a resort, the country is of absolute no consequence to me.

Hope this clears it up for you

Your legendary status is confirmed Mr Mac.
Strangely, on thursday I was having a conversation with my boys about this run trying to explain that bottom section and they've now just sat through it with me patting me on the back and praising me to the hilts. I'm one happy bunny :D
Thanks mate
now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to watch it again...
