Don't tell me what to do - I've had one of those days!!!
I did get a nice necklace and bracelet from son and pot plant from daughter though and a very politically incorrect card - two pairs of skis and poles on an otherwise white card. Caption was 'Albinos skiing'. |

RoseR - my sympathies. I have spent my day cooking a roast for son, daughter, their other halves, and my Mum! I am now putting my feet up on the sofa.

My husband has a pair of silk thermals which he nearly always wears unless really hot ski day, then rinses them out each evening. They are usually dry the next morning, although my hair dryer may have to finish drying them off. I suppose we really ought to buy a second pair!

By 'first week of January' do you mean including New Year? If not, I think the first week in January is usually pretty quiet and underbooked, in which case you should be able to find a last minute deal, even for 5 of you.
