Tell that to the brits in the blue skoda we watched trying to get up to the chantel area of 1800 yesterday, the five or so cars behind him were steadily backing up as he was sliding backwards.
Onlookers were tutting and shaking there heads - bloody brits.

The snow is fine, a little choppy in places and the sun has been beating down all day.

Mrs Snapzzz has joined ski school in the pm sessions so i will be skiing hard in the mornings before taking ownership of little snapzzz for the afternoon.
We have just return to our apartments which are VERY nice for a chilli and a few beers.

Sounds great - thanks for the update - No lessons for Little Snapzzz?? Happy New Year - hope the skiing continues to be good for you -very envious.

No lessons for little snapzzz, we didn't pre book and they are totally sold out. Looks like she will have to put up with my tuition again :-)

Lift queues out of arc1800 are horrendous but quieter further up.

Travelling out this weekend?

Are you a beginner on skis or just a beginner on blades?

Total beginners shouldn't really be learning on blades.

I am excited to click into my skis again but i have something of an issue with travel and flying and it always ruins the first day of hols for me.
I think its just the stress of it all, packing, airports, transfer coaches and dragging cases. I always get a box of Valium from my doc and neck a couple first thing. It doesn't cure me but they really help.

Roll on this time tomorrow when i am in my 'finest' apartment with a stubby beer or glass of wine.

Have a great time, Snapzzy

Thanks Ian, i will.
La plagne/champagny advice please

I think that would be sensible or you risk adding much stress to your mornings. The last lift back is the Grande Rochette at 4:45......Not worth the risk really.
