Well thats it! One more sleep to go and my heart is thumping like a train.
I am excited to click into my skis again but i have something of an issue with travel and flying and it always ruins the first day of hols for me.
I think its just the stress of it all, packing, airports, transfer coaches and dragging cases. I always get a box of Valium from my doc and neck a couple first thing. It doesn't cure me but they really help.

Roll on this time tomorrow when i am in my 'finest' apartment with a stubby beer or glass of wine.
La plagne/champagny advice please

I dont want to be the voice of doom here but in my opinion you can pretty much forget this idea.
champagny is on the opposite side of the mountain and as far as i know there are no buses and if there were it would be a very long ride via Moutiers to get there! You really do not want to get stuck on the opposite side of this resort, it could possibly be cheaper to stay the night than pay for a taxi.

You do not say how old you kids are or their ability but it would be a bit of a struggle to get to La Plagne for morning lessons, thats if the lifts are open in time. I would allow an hour with decent (child) skiers to get there.

Sorry.

Case packed.

2 pairs of ski socks should be enough. :-)

Snapzzzz, I've put 4 lbs on since I started working out but that's toning up I guess.
You're really going to feel that extra weight mate, let me tell you, although you'll get downhill faster
Worst thing will be the sweating, and the tiger fitting clothes, which is what got me dieting 2 years ago in the first place.

Not long now matey

I feel it walking about now, i am going to use this trip as a launchpad for my 'New Year New Me' initiative. Next week will be daily exercise so i am going to try and keep it up on my return.

Good news and bad news.

Bad news, feb ski trip may be off :-)
Good news, may be going to spain instead.
Gooder news, feb ski trip shifted to easter in Val Thorens.

Nothing booked yet but looking pretty much certain.

After a long autumn and vast amounts of overtime Mrs Snapzzz has decided we need a relaxing winter break as well as full on skiing. And i can see her point. I certainly would love to do bugger all for a week in Feb and the prices are crazy cheap. I love my skiing but i am so tired just lately, even J2 has been on the back burner for a while as i hibernate.

I really do like the idea of an easter ski trip more than feb if i am honest. Longer sunny days in VT sound just the ticket....

Thoughts anyone?

Must admit that the green jacket feels a little tighter than I remember when I tried it on back in the spring

Just spent the morning packing my ski bag.
Skis, poles, boots, apres boots, Sallos x 2 and one jacket - all in ski bag (supposed to be skis only) ooops...

Weather forcast is more snow this week before bluebird days next week. PERFECT!

Only issue is that i have done bugger all prep with my fitness. in fact i think i have gain nearly a stone this year.

Its gonna be a workout for sure.
