Blimey. Over a metre of snow predicted this week (over 2,500m). Does this augur well for July skiing??

We're in Tignes for 2 weeks in July. Main activities likely to be mountain biking, some watersports etc but we are hoping to do some skiing as well. I'll do a little report on our return.

I've just printed this out and given it to my daughter. "Not impressed" was the reaction.... Thanks snapzzz! I'm always looking for good wind up material. Keep it coming. |

we were in val d'isere over New Year this season. It was busy on New Year's Eve and the following day. The rest of the week was absolutely fine. Max wait for lifts was around 5 mins.

Andy, have a good 'un in Val d'Isere. I've only been back 2 weeks and I'm itching to get over there again. |

I've been out and about today. -6 when I left the office and -5.5 when I came back half an hour ago. The main roads are generally clear in Lincolnshire but as usual I'm very frustrated as there is always someone driving at 26mph. I may have 4 wheel drive and winter rubber but you only proceed at the common speed, unless decent overtaking opportunities arise. The roads in our village are still covered in ice/snow.
Hope those travelling this weekend are ok. I might suggest giving yourselves plenty of extra time! |
