......which I guess means that, like me, most of us are done for the season and probably have little else to say at the moment.

I'm going to be taking a break from here, with the odd visit now and then, across the summer and return again when I think about skiing again for next season, which probably means either when it starts snowing again or when I book something to look forward to!!!!

So, I guess I will see you all again in the early winter at the latest as we all start to gaze at webcams and count the days until our next trips.

Happy summer.

Yeah, I dip in now and again.
Just got back from no t so sunny Corfu and the closest I got to skiing was looking at the lucky people off skiing from Gatwick.
Depressing.
Son off to Les Deux Alpes on weekend.
Looks like snow has held up pretty well for him
Have a good summer all.

I'll be checking in on a regular basis ....... it just keeps me in the mood for skiing

Summer for me is also spent in the mountains well at least a couple of weeks, a bit of walking, sunshine and the beauty of the alps in summer.

Thanks for your reports, as always, this season Tony (and everyone else!) - have a good summer...

The servers never sleep (or even get to lie on beaches) but we'll give the Marmottes the occasional day off.

Amen to that...

We'll be keeping things going with a little more coverage of summer events and sports (including skiing!) this year; not forgetting, of course, that as our season ends it's just starting to cool down under and in South America.

But if you can drop everything and get away this weekend, there's still snow in the forecast... ... go high though!

I've got 5 days at the end of april free.
Anywhere worth thinking about going to then?

Tignes (or elsewhere very high) if you want a chance of powder but anywhere still open will be fun.

There's still going to be plenty of snow on the ground up high but you'll need to enjoy Spring skiing as it looks like warming up from mid-month.

Skiing ankle-deep slush can be a right giggle when the sun's out and cold beer tastes even better with a warm sun on your face...
