Woke up to blue skies on our 1st morning here in Tignes Le Lac. Off for an explore shortly. we can see the Grand Motte and it does look enticing. Will probably ski tomorrow morning....... :D

We have booked our Christmas week in Val d'Isere already. Christmas and New Year accommodation tends to go quite quickly so watch out!

My brain still thinks I'm 21 although frequency of aches and pains has increased now that my body is 25 years older than that.
No intention of slowing down just yet! My inspiration is the 79 year old gent that we met in the ski shop when having our first boots fitted 3 years ago. He didn't take up skiing until he was 49 and was still a regular visitor to Courchevel each year. |

Just checked our annual insurance policy and, of course, canyoning not on the list of sports that are covered!
Got a quick quote from a sports insurance specialist. £211 for the 4 of us! Might not be canyoning after all. We'll have to put up with skiing every morning instead...... |

Excellent advice from everyone.
Also, expect to spend up to 2 hours in the ski shop getting the right boots, especially if they are heat mouldable type boots/liners. |

Has anyone done this? We were looking at Evolution 2 as a potential outfit but no contact made as yet.
We were also looking into via ferrata but I think our youngest will be too young at 13 and a half (although she seems to think she is 15.....like her sister!) |
