The BBC never start coverage of 'minor' sports at the start of the sport's season - that would be far too sensible.

Can you get from the top of Mont Vallon above Meribel (c.2900m) all the way down to Brides les Bains (c650m)without a lift? Alternatively from the top a Saulire (2700m) down to Brides.
Other monsters could be top a the Aguile Rouge (? at Les Arcs) all the way down to the valley floor at Bourg St Maurice......

Top of Saulire to any of the Meribal villages at the end of the day always used to ETOs, and absolutely no stopping! :D
If you work for a chalet only company, then IMHO, and from experience, then there is no need for a welcome meeting outside the chalet. Most guests will have met you on the transfer so get the chalet staff to speak with their guests before dinner, and whizz around as many chalets as possible yourself on the first evening, and then invite yourself to dinner at different chalets each night.

I guess if you have hotel and self catering guests it's very different, but keep it short, and be on time, and not in an expensive bar!

Have you contacted any of the specialist chalet operators? The likes of Silver Ski hire couples.

Google chalet holidays in the major chalet resorts, Meribel, Courchevel, Val d'Isere, Verbier & St Anton, and contact the specialist operators.

Or TGV to Cluses and head to the Grand Massif or Portes de Soleil resorts.
The best tour operator and why?

Depends on what type of holiday you like, and what you have previously experienced, and what you are prepared to pay.

If it is chalet holidays, then it will most likely to be one of the small specialists, or a number of them. Some of these you might never have heard of, but have hugely loyal customers, but don't bribe journos with free holidays so as to win awards.

IMHO it will certainly not be any of the mass market ones who have poor staff / guest ratios.
