Hi,
I tried a few pairs and found they were tight. I bought a pair of Scott Missions and they were fine. Ebay bargain from the US ... came with 2 lenses also. Hope that helps, G |

I managed to do something to my sciatic nerve on day 2 of my holiday at the end of January.
Loss of feeling to the underside of my left foot and toes. Feelings are slowly coming back ... still have pins and needles feeling at times. At least it didn't stop me from skiing. G |

Saalbach Hinterglemm would certainly fit the bill.
Depends when in January .. we were there in week 5 this year and didn't have to wait more than 3 or 4 minutes for any lift/gondola. Suits intermediates best .. with some nice wide cruisy pistes and some more challenging reds. Nursery slopes in Hinterglemm are floodlit in the evening until 9 or 10 ... so plenty for kids to do after dinner. Apres-ski is what you make of it ... can be quiet or more noisy depending on which bar you go to. G |

Hi Brucie ...
Was fantastic !! Spent most of our time on the "sunny side". Red 33 was our favourite ... there are some great runs there and the snow was fantastic (had about 20/25cm fresh snow and they didn't prepare red 33 one day) - my first time on "powder" ... what a laugh we had as we both fell twice on one run. Will try to upload some photos onto Photobucket. Goasstall was great on the way home. Would definately go to that valley again as there is so much ground to cover. G .. (and the b in gdbn stands for Bruce !!) |

Karen ... you don't do 70kmh or mph with chains on. You crawl up the hill and take them off when you get to the top. Chains are used for traction.
And forget what Mr "I know it all backwards" says about steel and alloy wheels. Stop worrying ... you'll be fine. G PS .. what exactly is hubby contributing to this holiday ? |

"If you use steel wheels on cars with fairly modest performance then you will adversely impact braking performance, that's extremely dangerous when travelling at autobahn speed. Alloy wheels were originally fitted to cars because the alloy used has properties that dissipate heat under hard braking, that's why alloy wheels have spokes to increase surface area and allow the wheels to cool under hard barking. And that's why in some countries you're not allowed to use steel wheels on some cars."
Which comic did you get this ? Not counting the Swiss MOT standards, of course. And Autobahn speed being 65 kmh, 130 kmh, or Bugatti Veyron 400kmh ?? Think it's time to admit you're wrong, ISE ... And stop sucking lemons. G |
