Rosie ... depends what you've done to your back.
If you've pulled a muscle then chances are you'll be ok. If you've upset a disc (where the muscles over compensate for the damage) then that's another thing. Time is the only gauge .. good idea with the voltarol. See how it feels in the morning. G |

There's a lot of anti-smokers on this site. Was really surprised last year in Austria that you could smoke everywhere. Must be one of the last places in Europe to stop smoking in public places.
Still ... doesn't hurt to pop out for some fresh air every once in a while. G |

Hi again,
Schilthorn is a must. Depends if you want to take your skis with you. I went up there on a "bad" weather day so didn't bother. Fantastic place. You can also take the train, which I will surely do this time, up through the Eiger. It takes you up to the top of the Jungfraujoch at 3454 metres. Great views of the glacier. The only other thing is to enjoy the scenery. The ski area at Wengen is at the foot of the north face of the Eiger. The scenery there is breathtaking ... much more scenic than your average resort in Austria. I'm sure you will love it. G |

Hi,
I'm off on the 21st, so would love to hear a "real" snow report from you upon your return. G |

I have had a pair of Sorel Caribou for the last 4 years.
Best boots you can get in my opinion. They follow me on skiing holidays and I wear them on the plane as they're too big to go in the luggage. In snow it's like having 4 wheel drive on your feet. G |

I heard through the grapevine about a fella sleeping rough at Geneva airport .....
Kept mumbling in his sleep something about Neo. Must have seen too many Matrix movies. Skinny fella too, I heard. G |

If it's a red leather couch would you lean your skis, with razor sharp edges, on it ?
I would not live for long ..... Thanks for the links Tony. One of my colleagues always buys his stuff from Conrad. Was thinking more of the discontinued lines at about 150 euro ... how about the Volkl Tiger Snow ?? Though they only have 175 left which may be a bit long. G |

As far as I remember we have the same boots ... Salomon Impact 8's.
Still the whole ski buying thing is a jungle ..... If you see any good deals on some "on piste" intermediate skis then let me know !!! G |
