Actually Tony youv'e given me a great idea....as manufacturing is dire straits iin this country, Gordon and Rosa who own/run the Polairestar ski hire and service shop near the funicular in Bsm might be looking for someone to service the skis this season as Gordon was having to do for himself last season after a split with his business partner.
I could do the ski servicing during the season ,and then at the end go round all the lifts in Les Arcs and hoover up all the goodies, then sell them on ebay to fund myself over the summer/autumn months until the next season :D :D magic idea jon |

Your all welcome anytime :D Free holidays all round :D :D jon. |

I suppose with all the extra charges being brought in i must count myself lucky my ski's stay out at my apartment, a couple of people who use it every yea have also started to leave them also( i just store them under one of the bunks r in the ski room) to avoid extra charges and the inconvenience of transport.
As bandit says if anyone hasn't tried to drive to the alps they should give it a whirl, it's not as terrifying as it may seem. By the end of the thi season it will be interesting to see certain airlines and tour operators quarterly profit figures. jon. |

Littering
Anyone with a true love of the mountains and the natural world ould not behave in such a way i am sure, unfortunately as the stats show there are tens of thousands of litterbugs out there on the hills. It's not too difficult to wait a couple of minutes until you reach the top, have a smoke and then dispose of it responsibly in the bin after extinguishing it, or putting a chocolate bar wrapper in a pocket until a bin can be found.....most will use a mountain bar/toilet at some point during the day. Maybe a few trained snipers around the resorts near the lifts might be of use.....or is that a bit extreme? jon. |

Hi ,
I agree with the other replies. St.Gervais/Megeve or Morzine ( have been to Morzine and it's a lovely place to stayand has good access to other resorts also) If you are looking in that area try contacting Ziggi Davenport at Alpine Apartments Agency ,they have a good reputation from what I hear. wherever you end up staying have a enjoyable ,safe season. jon. |

I think a large 6 0r seven bed on-suit over looking BsM for the summer, and then another pad somewhere in Ste-Foy (above the village) or in Villaroger/le Pre for the winter....bugger thats got rid of only about £1.2million :D jon |

Hi , There are twelve of us, must have thought apart from myself there would have been more than eleven who would have taken up the offer of a free chance to scoop a share... So I am afraid it will be only £7,083,333.33p each....give or take a few quid. :D :D :D Best of Luck jon. |
