It'll be the usual for me. Wait until about 2-3 months before we go. May well for Easter next year. I quite fancy Christmas but the family will most likely veto that idea. Shame!

Did anyone ski Alpe D'huez last summer? Haven't heard any reports of what it was like.

Dave Mac, thanks. May make a winter trip to my Munich office a bit more attractive.

Quite fancy Austria because not been skiing there yet. I'll have to have a look at a piste map or two.

I have not been but from what I have heard, then....may be! I think that you can only ski mornings, and there are not many pistes open. If you go early in summer then signal blue run will be open, which is a nice piste. Signal usually shuts in July - have a look through Easiski's snow blog to see when it usually shuts. Other people have said that the summer skiing is worth it, if it is part of a summer holiday in which you are doing other things in the afternoon. Good if you are having some tuition too because it gives you something to work on. Have a think about other summer resorts because some have a bigger ski area than LDA during the summer - Tignes and some Swiss resorts.

Snapzzz, La Plagne looks a possibility. So many choices.
