It doesn't surprise me, you just look at some piste maps and the total piste length looks wrong.

Of the 34 of us in Mayrhofen next week, I think 7 or 8 are boarders, one or two are extremely good.

This thread asks what is the best Austrian resort for expert level skiers, to me that means off piste and maybe the itinaries and the odd black. Hire costs, busy pistes and queues etc are irrelevant to the question.

There's no animosity in our club, just freindly banter between the 'gays on trays' and the 'prix with stix'! |

There certainly were when I went there about 15 years ago, just as well as it was quite a treck to the lifts.
