Does anyone have any recommendations for face masks that are not going to retain moisture (from breathe) and thus Freeze! Which would be a lot worse solution than not wearing one :).

i have a silk one that is very good but havent had it in temperatures that cold yet!! my camelpak does keep freezing though which is most annoying!!!

hey
was there this morning-the snow was fantastic, good coverage and much like bormio the sun isnt hitting it much which means it doesnt have the feeze/thaw thing going on to make it dead icy

we are also due snow this week so should be awesome by next week

love this one for tune and tricks

have to say (and i genuinely dont mean this as a jib at admin) but i havent found any reports that are accurate on any websites-on 3 different websites it said it was to snow here in bomrio today and we had sun all day! unless it is a blanket sysytem across the whole alps, im not sure if you can rely on aything being that accurate other than webcams!

While you're in Bormio you ought to visit Santa Caterina which you can see in the distance from Bormio 3000. Also there's ? Colomibine - something like that, a small area just across the road from Bormio, which when I went, midweek, was incredibley quite - also worth a visit.

thanks caorline we were def going to check out santa caterina but hadnt considered the other one (also dont know what it is called!)

Hi, just wanted to ask really for the update on the condition in the area?

I will be in Livigno next week and thinking of a day trip to Bormio!! :D

Can't wait....

it was snowing last night up at 3000m but raining (lightly) in the village.
this morning was quite foggy to start but by mid-day it was clear and the fresh snow up top was deep and soft!!

pretty much perfect conditions to be honest!
