Skiing near Zurich

Davos, 1 1/2 from Zurich, awesome place a great for boarding.
Gravid. Typing on iPhone so maybe a few typo's lol, such as Fir/For & Part/Party, however, hopefully you get the jist of it.
Gravid.
Fir the last 2 years we have been going to Meribel. There are 5 kids in the part all between the ages of 5 & 9. We use one if 2 ski schools, parallel lines or magic in motion. These are both UK based & only have British instructors, we thought this was best for young children. Also the max in a class is 6 pupils with one instructor & one helper. They start at 9.15 & finish at 1.15, so you get 4 hours to yourself, meet for lunch & then ski with them in the afternoon. What is also great is there is about 8 lifts out of the Chaudaune (excuse spelling), meeting area so you simply don't queue to get up the
mountain. If you have any specific questions please feel free to ask.
Kids and Queues?

I agree on the T Bars, think their problem is the lack of available revenue to put in another chair. The 6 man chair is a new addition, 2 years old I think, this cost over 10 mil euros, which considering it only opens 1 run of any note is a bit of a joke.

Andy, how did you find Kreishberg. I have been there a few times as a mate has a chalet there, don't often come across people who have heard of it let alone skied there. IMO i think its a great place, especially with Turracher Hohe fairly close.
Chipped Bone on Heel

Depends on how serious or bad the break is. I broke my Navicular bone in my foot on the 4th Jan & skied without a problem last week. I think you may suffer some discomfort but a Ski boot is a good support, actually offers more support than a cast.
Chrispyapplepie is dead right. I use WhatsApp for mms messages & Viber for calls when I am away as both are free, although these have to be in a wifi zone. Also, once in a wifi zone, emails are the way forward for any pictures or videos.
The Ski Helmet Debate

In my opinion it is totally up to the individual. However I think it should be compulsory for children. In fact if it was not for a helmet my 6 year old may well have died last week. Its a brilliant but potentially dangerous sport so I struggle to see why people wouldn't want to wear one.
